The wilderness gives and the wilderness takes, and as we learn that becomes the basis of how they choose who to eat. It all began during Episode 7 when Lottie (Courtney Eaton) revealed that she believed the death of Shauna's baby was the reason that Shauna (Sophie Nelisse) survived. Who Will be the Yellowjackets Next Wilderness Sacrifice?Īfter Episode 8, we're finally starting to understand the rules of the Yellowjackets wilderness cannibalism. Maybe something there will lead the detectives in a different direction? Or maybe Shauna will finally listen to Misty and stop talking to the police without a lawyer? Also we have to wonder whether Misty's quest for friendship would extend to her taking the fall for Shauna and her daughter in the case of Adam's murder? It'll be interesting to see where the chips fall for all of our criminal cast in the finale. Of course, we could end the season with Shauna in custody as an ultimate cliffhanger, or perhaps we end in a situation where we discover more about Adam and his motivations. We know that Walter is potentially going to tell the police that Misty killed him - which she implied was true in her message to him - so that could lead Shauna to evading capture once more. Speaking of Adam, a big question going into the finale is whether Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), Callie (Sarah Desjardins), and or Jeff (Warren Kole) will be arrested for the murder of Shauna's former boytoy. Is Shauna Going to Be Arrested For Adam's Murder? whatever happens going into the finale Walter is a big potential threat to Misty until he proves himself otherwise. And he did try to get her to confess to Adam's murder in his car. After their impromptu FBI impersonation, Walter tells Misty that he wasn't actually taking his mom to the nursing home but in fact "Maybe I'm just a bored Moriarty looking for his Sherlock" hinting that he sees Misty as an adversary. After all he's an online sleuth who loves solving mysteries but doesn't care about the greatest mystery of his age? There are other hints too. On their road trip Walter makes such a big point about not caring about Misty being a Yellowjacket, but as we enter the final episodes that seems less and less likely. Could he be seeking out vengeance for the girl that never came back from the Wilderness? Or is it something more simple? While it seems like it would be hard for him to know such details, if he was related to Crystal then he'd know what his beloved sister enjoyed doing in her spare time. We know that Walter loves musicals just like Crystal and Misty, and has at least some of the selections that the two girls used to sing in the forest including "Rainbow Tour" from Evita. Walter plays Staying Alive in the car which is what Misty used for CPR after Crystal fell off the cliff. Walter asks Misty to play Two Truths and a Lie, similar to the childish games that Misty often played with her BFF. There are many hints that Walter knows more about Misty than he's letting, on and much of it seems to be connected to Crystal (Nuha Jes Izman). Seeing as he believes that Misty killed Adam (Peter Gadiot) that doesn't bode well for her, but is there something deeper going on with Walter? Does he have a connection to Misty's past? Or the first person she killed? But, that could potentially lead to Misty's downfall as we see Walter email the police claiming to have information about the death of Adam Martin in Episode 8. The vision even features Walter telling Misty he loves her via morse code, hinting that she is beginning to see him as a true ally and partner. Episode 7 put Walter and Misty (Christina Ricci) at center stage - literally - when Misty does some isolation therapy and has a vision of a top-hatted Walter performing a musical number just for her. Does Walter Have a Connection to Misty's Past?Įver since he first appeared in a charming voiceover during the Season 2 premiere, we've all been wondering what's going on with Walter (Elijah Wood) in Yellowjackets. So, grab a piece of perfectly grilled meat and settle in. But before we get there we've got some massive questions about the fate of the survivors, Lottie's cult at Camp Green Pine, and who is going to live to see the end of Yellowjackets Season 2.
